New Beginnings

This last week has given me the chance to ponder new beginnings. My son opened up a new chapter in his life, and he is excited to proceed forward.

I, too, started again with some writing of mine. With my first book coming out in a month and a half, there is much activity in preparation for that. But I also need to make time for other writing. To that end, I have been working on my second book. However, it’s been going nowhere. I have an outline, but my actual writing, well, that’s another story! I keep rewriting the same old passages.

It finally dawned on me in the last week that I needed to abandon that story for the time being. So, I turned my attention to what I had planned on being my third book. It is a book I feel very passionate about, but I was afraid of messing it up by writing it too soon, before I was ready. I guess I’m as ready as I’ll ever be. It’s already progressing better than the would be book number two.

It is a new beginning, a new chapter, and I am, like my son, excited to proceed forward!
